Why Occupational Therapy?
Occupational Therapy focuses on the
things a person wants and needs to do in their daily life. Occupational Therapists take a functional, observational, and holistic look at those activities and determine what exactly the underlying cause is that is keeping you from performing those activities. From there our skilled occupational therapists are able to help your child develop or regain those skills through therapeutic and meaningful approaches.
For littles an occupation includes play, sleep, feeding, regulation, dressing, movement, social participation, school engagement and so much more.
Occupational Therapists are skilled in looking at all areas of one's life (sensory, social, environment, physical, values, spiritual, supports, abilities) in order to increase one's participation in daily activities.
Empowered Occupational Therapy believes in a family centered, individualized, and holistic approach to care. We pride ourselves in empowering families throughout their journey. We are here to support you in helping your little one grow to their full potential. We know just how important it is to have someone to listen, support, and encourage you and your family during this time.

Sara Gregoire M.S., OTR/L CBS
My name is Sara Gregoire, founder of Empowered Occupational Therapy LLC. I graduated from the University of North Dakota with my Master's in Occupational Therapy. With experience in pediatrics throughout the school system, outpatient setting, and early intervention I have worked with a variety of children and diagnosis. Over the years, I have gained a love for working with littles and helping them grow in their gross motor, fine motor, play skills, and daily activities. I have enjoyed building a connection with families and helping them advocate for their child to be successful throughout their homes, schools, and communities. Additionally, I have gained extra certifications in maternal mental health and lactation to be able to further support new and current mamas in their feeding journeys.
